When I Forgot My Fathers Name
His name was "Turupa"
Meaning the reproach favourite
But he gave birth to me in the village
When the people just retuned tired from their long duty.
I had to grow up in the ashes
I mean ashes of the wretched streets
With the burden of the whole world well placed
on my helpless and bruised strange head
With strokes of tears i kept crawling along
I mean along in the village lineage
not better than a hopless jungle
But before they died,
No one among the line has ever seen the sun set over his head,
They have all passed through the shadows of the dark moonlight.
Sundenly in a trance
I woke up from my slumber
Slumber of the centuries that has charmed our ooze of life
In an hour i felt a hand laid at my shallow shoulders
with a fainted voice
Which said my name is yellow!
Meaning enough of your reproach
In a jiffy i was there with him in the land of the yellow clouds
Where mortals do not die in labour and the streets laiden in golds
Sunddenly i saw the sun set
Setting above my traded head-set
And when the option came i had no choice than yellow!
Yellow! is my name that brougth me to meet with my destiny
That brougth my glorious head to sunset
This was when i forgot
My fathers name.
