The Truth Is Bitter

The Truth Is Bitter

I once tasted the truth
I saw it taste sour
Like a bitterleaf
Then i knew why so many takes to lies

I once tasted truth
Again it was so bitter
Just like the bitter colanut
Eaten often with unwilling heart
Then i knew why there was hared in love

I once tasted truth
And the taste spoils the flavour of my hunger
Then i saw the reason
Why there was bitterness and rancours
Than the embracing hands of love

Then, i knew;
Why break up is rife between lovers
Why many prefers to hide under one finger
Why it seems the earth is not spacious enough
                                        to accommodate all of us

 Now i also know;
Why those who have enough are not at peace
Why those who have no means are agitated
And why many are nearer to death than to live

Because the truth is bitter..
