Truth Endured

Here I sit before the page, blank in anticipation of the first strokes
Words, dreams, wishes floating in my void, waiting expression
Emotions swell building to their peak, the surf crashing on its beach
Real illusions trade place forming thought, longing for release by pen
And time, the “beast”, flows ever forward, with no regard for any involved.
Why have you come to sit at my feet? Answers are not free.
Wasn't the journey here enough? Lessons from the trip still fresh
Will you understand if I grace you with the truth? Can you grasp its strength?
Each of you suffered different trial on your quest, searching, moving ahead
We are all different because of the path we're on, experiences changing
The ‘Truth' is the journey, the path, the pain we've endured. Truth endured.
