This Is Your Mind On Rhyme

Only the silica freeze, separates
In see-through reprieve, me from outside day.
That being most fortunate indeed,
Being an honest concede, me talking this way.

Under my own self-citizen's arrest,
As myself I've come to detest, requiring quarantine.
Caught up in illogical loop-de-loops,
Of demonic rhyming hoops, left me reeling in lean.

They're calling it a poet's dementia,
Endless oratory of mind in absentia, as you can see.
Like the brain has busted a grommet,
Releasing perpetual verbal vomit, God Help Me!

Tracy Bollinger

Always liked to write and have written poems periodically over the years. I've never shared them withanyone except for immediate family. Decided to take the plunge and put some out 'there'. But bearwith me, I don't really know what I'm doing. This is therapy of sorts and I hope to let go of the need to rhyme. It's a mental condition.
