Terms And Conditions

Like any 'rat'-i-fied con I've known, you have
A 'mouth' and 'eyes' in the back of your head;
Spying what I do, have done and will soon do
Before I'm about to, do do, and past done did.

All my "John Doe', is smartly dressed up 'pat',
In your 'terms and conditions' of unholy 'scat';
That I by signing, hereby agree, to sign away
Any reasonable right to privacy I had to forfeit.

Seems I can't out-run your 'doo-wap' digital's
Of cipher-chain, it's 'byte' precedes it's 'bark';
They've arrived n' built my invisible cell-block,
Long before I've even thought where to start.

Bars that polished to the smoothness of skin,
While mine is buffed to velvet sheen of steel;
Bars taking my warmth, I take their coldness,
Boundary swallows itself with what you steal.

Tracy Bollinger

Always liked to write and have written poems periodically over the years. I've never shared them withanyone except for immediate family. Decided to take the plunge and put some out 'there'. But bearwith me, I don't really know what I'm doing. This is therapy of sorts and I hope to let go of the need to rhyme. It's a mental condition. I recently found out my grandmother used to rhyme all herletters to anyone. Go figure. I hope you all enjoy my ranting! I do like what I've seen other's post. more…
