The Star was falling in complete solitude...

* This is the English version of my Russian one, 'Звезда в одиночестве падала...' which I've posted here earlier.*

The Star was falling in complete solitude
into the lake - the foaming womb...
She couldn't hold on anymore: in repentance
scorching her yet pink fuzz. Doomed.
Kissing the Sky daughterly, departed
with no good-byes, no final word: not one sentence.

The Angels-Scatterbrains strained
in the tippet of a roped fog, in shored.
The Guardians - enabled to watch, catch and hear
the groaning of the delicate Star. Ignored.
The fall's been written off as fatal, inevitable;
the soul resigned upon a drop of its last silent tear.

Morning twilight abruptly squashed
the darkness, in coma deceitfully laying.
Its blood filled eyes stared in grave disbelieve
at the body of a burnt Star- chewed up, obeying,
by death, snapped off at the root of existence.
The lake turned salt-watered overflowing with grief.

The Star was falling in complete solitude
into the lake - the foaming womb...
The Sky's heart collapsed, smothered
in pain - sharp like lightning strike. Will mourn
the Star for eternity, in agony, in despair,
forever leaden, damned to cradle regret, the mother -
The Sky...
