The reservoir

               THE RESERVOIR----DR.K.G.BALAKRISHNAN

                    The Pure the clear transparent;
                    The colorless and the odorless;
                    The inmost, the vast the deep;
                    The aquamarine; the magnificent!
                    The great lake, I feel the cool
                    That preserve, the warm vibrating
                    To the Note enchanting zigzagging;
                    The enigmatic blossoming to the smile;
                    The Thought breezing, they patting hale;
                    The Tempest roaring smashing, the insane
                    They hoot; water flow in an' out, theMain.

                    Me the lunatic, swimming diving
                    An' floating calm; boating everywhere;
                    Shipping to the unknown as Gulliver did;
                    Enjoying the candid, trembling bewildering;
                    Circus, trapeze; acrobat an' at times buffoon;
                    At last returning to the greenroom, to the cabin!

                    Often I dream am I the Alilakkannan-
                    The spore legendary on the banyan leaf-
                    Floating in theGreatOcean, the thought-bank,
                   The eternal Reservoir of bounds infinite!
                   The Space.
