As I awaken, thoughts of you are vivid,
just yesterday your laughter rang in my ears.
while I slumbered tears soaked my pillow,
because we were together in my dreams.
I weep, I mourn, I remember still.

Your voice is ever present in my mind,
with words of endearment and love.
Your old house haunting me with memories,
I can't pass by there, I can't bear it, still.

however your warmth has grown cold as freezing rain,
