Away and Gone

My sight is getting wider and my eyes see things anew,
I never really knew who was there before you.
Once you arrived, everyone else slowly went away,
I thought they would always be in my corner, I see I was wrong because
Once you came everyone else had gone.
Thats probably the way you wanted it, for me to be alone
Never having a place to call my own, forcing me out of my home.
I wonder what your angle is, or what you mean to gain
but yes it seems that since you arrived, my life would never be the same.
I tried to love you but i guess I failed, You betrayed my trust and put my heart in jail.
Now I am out and on parole, and everyone's away. Will they ever come back or will I see them again, who's to say?
Contemplating my exact steps and ponder where I went wrong, I am left with a hollow shell, my soul is now gone.
Draining my spirit and killing my joy, left with tears that constantly streak my face
I have no choice but to leave, because of you this is no longer my place.
I thought that things would be alright at least some day
I must try to find a new space but here is not for me to remain, its time to go away.
Regrets are letting you in, lessons learned and time to start over again from when everything went wrong.
Just like the sun when it sets, my presence here is gone.
