Statue

Why is it so chilling?
I can't feel a thing.
My eyes are shut
And yet I see
Everything that surrounds me.
It's so hard to take a breath.
This fate seems as cold as death.
I never wanted to disappear,
And now look at the end I wished near.
I am staring without vision,
Thinking through the fissions
Of my mind.
I wished to be immortal
But this is not the kind.
My soul is crying out desperately
But I will never be answered.
This is the fate that I wished near,

And now I feel only frozen fear.
