Ships on the Skyline

I watch the sun rise
Think of you and close my eyes
I feel a smile pull on my lips
As come and go do these ships
That dock on the horizon line
And sail across the sky of blue divine
Letting passion be its guide
And feeling I'm standing on the wrong side
I put my hands over the ships in the sky
And close my eyes, letting myself float high
One hand holding on, we were sailing west
The other hand in yours, you held it best
Breezes adrift, I can hear your smile
As I listen to waves crash, although the ocean is a far mile
below us
As soon as dusk rests, I open my eyes
Looking back up, into brilliant skies
Silhouettes drift as high hopes lift
and a perfect sky shifts, to a shiny sun set
