Remiss

Would I be so sure my fears are real.

Like a just-missed meal as my anxiety strives to steal
My serenity.

And I know who the thieves are: They are self, pride, fear and there
Is a space between when the anxiety begins and the medicine kicks in

Where I pray 'God relieve me of the bondage of self and my defects of character and any other self-serving sin.

For I fear the unknown and then comes the knowledge, what to expect, that is the defect and I just needed to learn how to wait and let God begin His everloving care and it has always been.

I love you, God.
