Coda

First line...I'd just as soon
think about revenge as make
my amends, rather than change,
ain't that strange

Because it's easier since I'd just
as soon get busier with the sleazier
concoctions of my mind
I'm so blind but

The better angels of my nature that
want me to mature say that my victory is
only in my mind and the truth is not
always kind

The Truth being sooner than any
revenge will ever be.

What a bind so

Let's cut this Gordian Knot
Turn it over to God: this vengeful
thought, this arrogant binge and
I think I'd better just concentrate on

Living well; The best revenge.
