Remember

We have to remember the events from the past
Especially the painful things
So they don't happen again
I don't know how the Nazis got away with it
I don't. I don't.
The Holocaust was a horrible time for people
I can't imagine what it was like
But if we just learn more about it
We can teach young and old
About why that shouldn't happen
Again.

We have to be thankful that we weren't there
And didn't experience what the Jews and others had endured
That we didn't have to sleep with our heads of splintery wood
Or have to do hours of slave labor
With barely any food.
And yet there are still people in the world that believe in that
But we can't let it happen again.
We can't. We can't.
