The Transforming Beach

On a sunny evening
At the beach
Children, quiet, as they leave
The day seems to unwind itself
And slowly transforms into the night
There is no sound except for
The gray waves
Crashing against the sandy shore
It is getting darker
And soon, I am the only one that remains

The cloud disappear slowly
As the night darkens
My only friends now are
The bright stars and the full moon
All is silent
I remain where I am not wanting to leave
But it is getting late
And I have to get home
So I slowly walk home
Feeling please that I visited
The transforming beach.
