Religion
If I am to follow in the footsteps
of strength, I must live.
Death would be too easy;
Submission too weak,
and plowing my way through,
making my own path,
seems to be the only road.
Will loved safety
cut me to tiny pieces?
I hold tight to my decision, hoping
that somehow, something can
bring me through.
Save me from earthly punishment
and what I know must come.
