Reflections
I am the soft still lake at the foot of the mountain
reflecting your beauty and majesty at days begin
in distant mirrors reflection...
only your beauty shows
clouds may well transition...
while I mirror your repose
It has been said all that spirits do desire
no matter how hot and searing the fire
do not practice this in your refrain
for this the spirit will attain
The time in passing has with it brought
your long sought love to me naught
Yet each bird song, yet each soft wind
rekindles the yearning from deep within
You're close and yet you're distant still
silent now and ever will
be anymore than my unanswered plea
yet your beauty reflects for all eternity
