Reels of silk in the mouth

Soft as a sigh, a cascade of silk

Conjured from the strands of whispers supreme

Every word tells softly all my names

Showing their meanings and how they stand

With all my best in dressing old words new

Spending again what is already spent

As the sun is daily new and old

Weaving the essential forms of grace

In fondness for a blooming virgin

On reels of luminous silk

Tanged with light as daylight ghost

In that mystic world of the poet

Where the sad manhood that sees no smiles

On her dazzling proud face

With curious eyes that saw the manners

In figures, symbols and images

To raise up visions of historic hours

Who prove and never turn a hair

In a world strained by reels of luminous silk

Sweeping unchanged the imperfect hearts

Of silent tongues in old four letters of the page

For loud acclaim he does not care

But only gaze from heaven to tell and vice-versa
