Pilot Bob (beyond the clouds)

pilot bob, he's a little off course.
fell off the face of the planet.
i heard it from a reliable source.
they're all wondering if he didn't plan it.

pilot bob, he's gaining altitude.
disassociation's his middle name.
some people say he's kind of rude.
they blame him for his lonely game.

pilot bob, grips the controls so tight.
doesn't know what's up or down.
darkness just seems to cloud the suns light.
so confused his smile's turned into a frown.

pilot bob, is flying all alone.
been at it so long, it's all just the same.
nothing seems important, doesn't answer the phone.
he's getting cold, no one to fan the flame.

pilot bob, he wants to land.
his wings are quivering and he's afraid he'll crash.
but he wants to pull his head out of the sand.
so his life does'nt just end up out in the trash.
