aincient ruins

somewhere beyond the dawn of thresholds unforseen.
is where you'll find the past begin somewhere inside of me.
childhood dreams and moonlight beams no longer mean a thing.
just sad romantic memories too sorrowful to sing.

you never know how far you'll go till tommorow slips away.
or how long you'll last caught in the past with no hope for today.
cause heartache slowly tears you down and lonliness can kill.
lifes taxman comes and you realize you can't afford the bill.

you tell the truth as you think you know it, but time will be the judge.
you do your best to pass the test, but reality won't budge.
the mirror of lies will testify that you are just a fool.
these aren't the lessons we were taught when we sat down in school.
