Our Mother

What gift could we give you, to show how much we care?
What act of love could compare to the life
You unselfishly lived for us.

We want so much to be able to give back
All that you have given.
But we find that the task cannot be grasped,
By ourselves or any other under heaven.

It will come on that day when you hear the FATHER say,
"Well done good and faithful servant."
And when you hear shouts of "AMEN!"
There's no need to look around.

Those voices will be ours, the ones you so touched,
With the love you received from heaven.
