Open your eyes

Open your eyes,
Feel the wind blowing,
Reaching the top of your eye,
The sun is glowing,
If only we could reach the sky.

Open your eyes,
Free them into the moment,
Let them see every flower,
Sense every piece of breathing,
It is you, and the world is flowing,
Feel the fresh air, the longing
For something big,
Where you feel belonging.

Open your eyes,
Don't say goodbyes
To everything you see,
Let them live and be,
Flow widely free
Into a world of you and me.

Open your eyes,
Sense the colors of the world,
You may hear the sound
Of every little cloud
Sitting above the sky,
Telling you to stop being shy.

Open your eyes,
The oceans blue,
You know it's true.
Enough with those cries.
The sky flying way up high,
If only I could see you
Just one more time,
To feel you, tell you
That you are all mine.

Open your eyes,
Look at me,
Tell me what do you see.
Do you think you haven't changed me?
I barely recognize myself,
Sitting here next to the shelf,
Writing what's burning on my head,
Wanting all of it to be sent
Right to your beautiful heart.

Open your eyes,
Tell me you realize,
How much I care,
If only you could see,
I would be able to share
Everything with you,
I'd make your dreams come true.
I just want to be with you.
Do you think we can make it through?
Let me know the truth.

Open your eyes,
Just one more time
Who do you see?
Do you know it's me?
I've been waiting for you,
Look right into my soul,
Through my opened eyes,
Do you see the whole me?
Do you realize
How much you changed me?
Do you see yourself inside?
You are the missing piece of my heart,
Open your mind and feel the art
That exist inside of you
And wants to change into
A heart of me and you.

Shir Hanochi

"life isn't measured by the numbers of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away". With my poetry, I want to make more of those breathtaking moments, to put everything I feel into words and let everyone else enjoy it as well as learning from it.English is not my first language, therefore I'd like to hear any grammar or spelling mistakes. Thank you all for understanding, and enjoy reading. :) more…
