Being with you

Being with you made me feel safe
I will always remember your face
That no matter what, smiled in such grace

Being with you gave me a reason to keep fighting
I will always remember the days we flew together
Against the world; as if nothing else matters

Being with you made me smile everyday
I will always remember the good and the gray
I know those memories will never fade away

Being with you helped me see the world differently
I will always remember your honesty
And how helpful you were even when I felt lonely

Being with you was a gift sent from God
I will always remember those weeks you were abroad
My feelings for you back then were pretty odd

Being with you meant the world to me
I will always remember everything you've done for me
Even now that you're setting me free

Being with you taught me how to love and care
I will always remember those moments of despair
But today I'm living a nightmare

Shir Hanochi

"life isn't measured by the numbers of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away". With my poetry, I want to make more of those breathtaking moments, to put everything I feel into words and let everyone else enjoy it as well as learning from it.English is not my first language, therefore I'd like to hear any grammar or spelling mistakes. Thank you all for understanding, and enjoy reading. :) more…
