Often Mist

So often what is clearly seen is very hard to find.

And that which is in fact so simple is difficult to define.

Many things in life are prized only when one's dead.

And important things that one must say, are often left unsaid.

Some say that life's the thing that happens whilst busy with this and that.

But oft' times I sit and wonder just, what's missing here, alas.

Sunshine for sadness and gladness for rain

Are too oft' decisions we face along the way.

Neither cherishing the moment to enjoy a child at play.

Nor taking time to revel in a kiss received today.

What oft' times struggles to succeed

Must needs relax once sown the seed.

Oft' storm clouds gather and bright stars recede

Dawns mist seeds do cover, but new life fills evenings.

Where once only shadows loomed o'er moss an' glade

New life fills the pathways, fresh passion light s the way.

From gladness and joy deep sorrows oft' descend.

And where is peace and safe harbor, tribulation often reigns.

Yes, often from life doth through sadness and pain

Through mist, rain and darkness, Oft' friendship's proclaimed.

David Marion

I am merely a passionate soul, experiencing love in all the wrong and right places. The challenges of life are the paints in my pallet. My art and my writing are the brushes which help to spread the love, joy and pain I experience across the canvas of my life. My passion is to inspire all whom I encounter, in word or in person, to move from where they are, to where God has designed them uniquely to be. "Each person was created as the solution to a problem that God knew would exist." more…
