A Plea from the Heart

Sometimes my mind seems to get in the way

My thoughts seem to grow like huge stones.

It's then that my feet won't respond, won't obey,

And won't go where my heart yearns to go.

My arms too refuse to extend helping hand

Or pick up a handset to call.

My ears cease to hear the ever ringing of bells

That chime and chime on when one calls.

My eyes cannot see all the need through the tears,

And the pain that doth blind from within.

It is when these times come that I need you the most,

But the words to call you just don't come.

So, please let your heart lend a listening ear

To the words that seem trapped in my heart.

And caress all the feelings I'm yearning to share

And shelter me in your embrace.

‘Cause I do need you , Love, that one thing is true

And I really hope you love me, too!

David Marion

I am merely a passionate soul, experiencing love in all the wrong and right places. The challenges of life are the paints in my pallet. My art and my writing are the brushes which help to spread the love, joy and pain I experience across the canvas of my life. My passion is to inspire all whom I encounter, in word or in person, to move from where they are, to where God has designed them uniquely to be. "Each person was created as the solution to a problem that God knew would exist." more…
