My Cat And I (Hurricane Katrina, 2005)

My cat and I are "flying high" in this flooded town.
My cat and I will find blue sky or touch down and drown.

My cat and I are "hue and cry" in this flooded town.
My cat and I will still defy or pipe down and drown.

My cat and I are "do or die" in this flooded town.
My cat and I will often try or fall down and drown.

My cat and I are "eye-to-eye" in this flooded town.
My cat and I will soon comply or stare down and drown.

My cat and I are "cut and dry" in this flooded town.
My cat and I will become sly or step down and drown.

My cat and I are "apple-pie" in this flooded town.
My cat and I will remain spry or scale down and drown.

Rescue me, rescue my cat in this flooded town.
I won't leave my trusted friend or turn down and drown.
