Stepping Stones

Transform stumbling blocks into stepping stones.
Don't surrender hope
until it's in your bones.

Drill survival skills into the penchants earned.
Don't erase the blackboard
until the lessons learned.

Complete tasks at hand into efforts well-done.
Don't claim victory
until the battle's won.

Craft things you expect into important catch.
Don't count your chickens
until the tweeters hatch.

Keep options open into the closing spurn.
Don't burn your bridges
until the final turn.

Transform stumbling blocks into stepping stones.
Don't divert progress
until the twilight zones.
