Loneliness in Porcelain

She sits tall and straight in porcelain splendor.

Draped in pink and white pearl essence
Dust motes dancing in her presence
Sun-rays shimmering on silver-gray hair
Smile, frozen in place, not showing despair
Lace covered hat, with ribbons and roses
On a worn wicker bench she delicately poses
Beside a white puppy, on mauve satin pillow
Underneath branches of a gentle weeping willow
Awaiting an appearance unknown to her-self
Longing to leave her self-imposed shelf

Her loneliness aching, yearning for surrender.
