Shadows Fly

Two souls, shadows attached,
silhouettes on the ground

“My shadow can fly!”
-Says who?
“Says I!”

-You’re crazy.
“Says who?”
-Says I.

One figures imagination
having no bounds

“You’ve no imagination.”
-Says who?
“Says I.”

-Prove it then.
“Ok, I will.”
-Ha! In a pig’s eye.

The others imagination
too facts usually found

“Grass will be sky.”
-Says who?
“Says I.”

-Green sky?
 “Just watch it fly.”
-Ok, I’ll try.

Running, leaping into the air,
one shadow flies in green sky
no longer earthbound.

-My shadow, too, can fly.
“Says who?”
-Says, I !!

Two shadows fly now
in a waving sky of green
laughter resounds
as their feet leave the ground.

Imagination unbound !
