Loathing Example

A glowing example of human perfection
Slight of body, nimble of mind, and gentle in manner
Voice soft and sweet, dripping with molasses
Flowing through the lives of others
Bringing light to a midnight world

I am a creture of the night
Exposed by this luminous creature
Evolved from natural selection
I am destined to survive
Without grace, gait, or gorgeousness

With contemptuous eyes I watch
Longing for a hint of imperfection
A break in bearing, a flaw in grammar
Time the sunlight to my blossoming hate
Pleasure building while I wait.
