Last Word

Some must be the last word
in panache and chic
Some must be the last heard whenever they speak

Some must be the last word
in power and drive
Some must be the last heard whenever they thrive

Some must be the last word
in fervor and truth
Some must be the last heard whenever they sleuth

Some must be the last word
in demise and cease
Some must be the last heard whenever they fleece

Some must be the last word
in mantra and chant
Some must be the last heard whenever they grant

Some must be the last word
in hauteur and show
Some must be the last heard whenever they crow

Some must be the last word
in impasse and balk
Some must be the last heard whenever they talk
