Incarcerated Soul

It took me to be in-caged to let go of my inner rage
A powerful soul can't be out staged
I found me behind these bars
It took my downfall to come this far
In this darkness I found my soul
Strong , courageous and even bold
No longer blinded through these bars I see
My body entrapped but my spirits free
I had to crawl to get back up
I'm caged I'm hidden but never stuck
My voice is my weapon I strike with stealth
Blessed with my insight I found true wealth

I'm def don't consider myself a poet I started writing after my sister passed away...Just to try and express myself with out having to throw my misery or sadness on anyone else.... At times my poems are dark but that's just how I felt at the moment more…
