Fist Of Nature

Wild-fires in the forest sweep and voraciously devour
the trees, homes and underbrush yielding crater-burn and scour.

It feels like nature's fist, with no warning, clue or hunch,
smack into the stomach landing a sucker-punch.

Floods from the torrential rains overwhelm and inundate
all lower lands and structures till water-levels abate.

It feels like nature's fist, with no warning, clue or hunch,
smack into the stomach landing a sucker-punch.

Earthquakes come from vents or plates, volcanic or tectonic,
shaking the ground with tremors with rapid "muscles-clonic."

It feels like nature's fist, with no warning, clue or hunch,
smack into the stomach landing a sucker-punch.

Hurricanes and tornados with destructive winds endowed
leave everything in their path either flattened, bent or bowed.

It feels like nature's fist, with no warning, clue or hunch,
smack into the stomach landing a sucker-punch.

Blizzard fine-snows and ice storms causing a slippery white-out
disorients your bearings with confusion, fear and doubt.

It feels like nature's fist, with no warning, clue or hunch,
smack into the stomach landing a sucker-punch.
