Lessons Learned From Loss And Losing

When our parents die we all become orphans;
then on "self" rely as independent ones.

When our lovers leave we draw on fresh resource;
then we must believe in forging a new course.

When our pets expire we retrieve memories;
then we can aspire to epic similes.

When a friend forsakes sanguine relationships,
then healing the aches prepares recovery scripts.

When siblings betray recondite confidence,
then we face dismay averting such pretense.

When finances drain and deletions accrue
then we ascertain investments to review.

When we fail in sports we strongly sympathize;
then we are cohorts to fully empathize.
