Evident
If every gift came unwrapped there would be no surprise.
much of life would be mundane: few thrills to realize.
Perception of clairvoyants, discerning what to see,
would spoil a good novel's plot or divine mystery.
What lies around the corner and past the twisting bend
is there to be discovered from starting line to end.
Fundamental absolutes from foregone conclusions
remove possibilities with many inclusions.
Inevitable results in tournament games and sport
destroys anticipation and interest will abort.
When everything's obvious and clearly evident,
conversation is boring with no cogent dissent.
Of the coming attractions we need not ascertain
which will amuse or challenge, to growth it is germane.
