Cherished moments

Standing in awe what do I see?
Sun peeping through how its warming me,
Clouds move slowly showing traces of blue,
Wind is brisk as it passes through.

On my lawn that speckled thrush,
Staring at me she's in no rush,
Daily each morning she jumps and hops,
Bight the eyes as she looks and stops.

Beautiful the plumage neat and clean,
Amazing how often this bird is seen,
The same place not worried at all,
Brown against green the grass isn't tall.

Stark the wisteria as buds start to swell,
Silently it waits as winter passes well,
Patient that vine it's having a break,
Soon in spring it will start to wake.

Today rains promised but I don't care,
Whatever the outcome of it I'll share,
Life is cherished and nature is sweet,

Time moves on each moment I greet.

I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
