Blindness

Fog covers the air,
Even during the day.
Lost souls wonder,
Attempting to find their way.

Darkness set heavy,
On a clouded mind.
Daylight may shine,
But still they are blind.

Blinded by confusion.
Blinded by fright.
Yesterday's treasures,
No longer in sight.

Afraid to believe,
Afraid to let go.
Blindness is certain,
And will eventually show.

Troubled by hurt,
Troubled by pain.
It's difficult to see,
In the midst of the rain.

Love opens eyes,
Love reveals hearts.
Blindness weakens,
As vision starts.
