One More Tragic Tale

Staring up through his tears,
his eyes locked onto mine.
Imaginary fears,
held him frozen within time.

Angels mourn souls so bleak,
and wept with him that day.
Wiping a tear streaked cheek,
he bid me look away.

Denouncing his own life,
he mumbled a sad plea.
And cut deep with his knife,
as he said, "don't help me."

He stood only to fall,
I didn't know what to do.
He prayed to end it all,
and his prayers came true.

Finding he had succumb,
sirens silenced their frantic wail.
And now he'll soon become,
just one more tragic tale.
