Where My Happiness Is
For a very long time, I've longed to be free
I want to do things that my family won't allow me;
Because by doing it, I thought I'll be happy
But how can I do it if my family's blocking me?
So one day, I've decided to run away from home
And started planning and living on my own;
I've done all the things that I've always wanted to do
I've done all the things that my strength can afford to.
After a while though, I'm wondering why after doing all those stuff
Doing all what I thought I want doesn't seem enough;
The happiness that I've longed for, I thought I'm fulfilled
Had later become impossible for me to yield.
Later on, I've started resenting the things I do
I've started feeling empty, lonely, sad and blue;
Then one night as I lay me down to sleep
A teared up and then started to weep
I honestly didn't know why I was even crying
I don't know why my tears just kept on flowing;
Somehow my hands founds the little photo album I brought
Opened it, flipped it, and there comes this strange thought.
The door I've once longed to unlock
The road to my happiness I thought my family has blocked;
It is when I realized they're not blocking it in any way
But they were trying to coax me in not going the wrong way.
Just like that, I found myself knocking at a door
Standing ashamed, head low, not a hint of my previous ardor;
The moment the door opened, I came to realize that
Happiness is where my family is; where my loving Dad's at.
