My Life the Ocean

TommyD 1957 (Ft. Lee)

My Life the Ocean

There's a house by the sea where I want to be,
With the oceans incredible blue.

As water engages the scattering light,
While it sparkles in the eyes of you.

Where sunsets always fill the sky,
As the bright colored bird enjoys to fly.

I seldom feel myself alone,
In this gathering of our happy home.

For fancy fills my dreaming love,
With scenes and pleasures from above.

And smiles that sooth my soulful rest,
So nice to feel it's helplessness.

While holding thoughts freely safe and warm,
As comfort knows this is my storm.

Those memories glean that close my eyes,
As daylight sees me never cry.

To feel your hand so lovely pressed,
And know myself is loved at last.

To thank my heart for finding rest,
From the solitude life now in my past.

While loving only affections flow,
In a place where only You I show.
