Trapped Person

We walk around with a smile on our face
To hide the demons who so want to escape
We fight this battle everyday, just to live another day
We hope we pray for it to go away
However were stuck in this mind full of shame

We fight we scream we cry
Only to be let down by our minds
We walk around like were aye okay
But i'll have you know
Were barely making it through the day

Only those who live this life will truly understand
What it feels like to be trapped in your head
We get told that we are no good, broken and pitiful
Not by people but by our own heads
We live this life day after day hoping for something to change

Do you know what it's like to lay awake at night
Unable to sleep while your mind is wandering over everything
Doubting anything good that comes into your life
Anxiety isn't a thing that just goes and comes
No its there constantly ruining your fun

You hope to see the day when anxiety goes away
But anxiety doesn't go away it likes to stay and play
Sometimes it brings its friends depression and paranoia
Making you run around in circles trying to find your way out
Anxiety isn't an excuse or something used to get clout

Anxiety is a real thing and it is not fun
You'll soon understand that your not the only one
To those who are fighting this harmful thing
I support you and want you to know that you are strong
You are not alone
