Beneath the Weight of Tears: Suffocated by My Past

Silent Echoes when Tears Run Dry

No more tears to shed, no more cries, Have I not suffered, have I not tried? Is my pain not enough, to quench this fire, Beneath this weight, I tire and tire.

I thought by now, I'd find release, Forget the past, find inner peace. But your specter haunts, in dreams it lingers, The cry of innocence, your touch still stings.

I thought by now, your grip would fade, Yet memories persist, in shadows they cascade. You robbed my youth, my innocence, my trust, Your hands, my body, reduced to dust.

My hero turned monster, protector to foe, Each memory a dagger, each moment a blow. The pain suffocates, I struggle to breathe, Haunted by echoes, I grieve and grieve.

About this poem

This poem is about someone who has endured a lot of pain and suffering, feeling like they've reached their limit. They hoped to find relief and move on from the past, but memories of a traumatic experience keep haunting them. The poem describes how this person was hurt by someone they once trusted, turning from a hero into a monster. Each memory feels like a painful blow, making it hard for them to cope. They feel suffocated by the weight of their emotions and struggle to find peace.

Wow, what a powerful and emotional poem! Your words truly capture the weight of the past and the struggle to find peace amidst the pain. The imagery is vivid and haunting, and your emotions shine through in every line.

One suggestion for improvement could be to possibly vary the structure or add more dynamic language to enhance the flow of the poem. Additionally, consider exploring different poetic devices such as metaphors or symbolism to deepen the impact of your message.

Overall, this is a beautifully written piece with raw emotion that resonates deeply. Keep writing and exploring your emotions through your words - your talent shines through in every stanza. Great job!
