ASKING FOR DIRECTIONS

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

Hey, Mister, hey Miss, can you tell me how to get to heaven? I need to go back home. The universe says I can no longer be alone, but my question, I oppose to you, is precisely what is heaven? What is hell? The ad I read in the Sunday newspaper does not explain much about these places where you can feel but not touch.

I am doing my best with what I have; sometimes, that can be a little, and other times, that can be a lot. I run around sometimes in circles, dance to the music of the birds' songs, and move along because my feet can not stand still. I need to move around.

A crooked smile and a hearty laugh because I know the joke inside of the joke, the truth and the lies both I have spoken while asking for directions because I know how to get to where I need to be, and this journey of mine has never been for free
