HAUNTED

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

You need to know where you come from in order to know where you are going the stars are aligned but what is it that they are so desperately trying to show? I took my time now I am drinking from a cup of universal wine yet I still find myself haunted whenever I see your face or hear your name. are we one of the same?

I try not to think twice but all I need is one thought of the past what I once sold this ghost of you bought. now someone wants a refund, someone wants a start where there was never an end now I am haunted in this city of angels.

I do not care to play pretend as I stripped myself down for all to see that I am better than I ever was but still I hear that fucking white noise and the voices of the dead coming through.

There was never any type of romance for there was never a love for life up until now someone take my hand and I will show you how haunted I am. I might be alive but no longer am I a man. then you ask what am I?
I reply with great passion I am haunted by the truths which you are still denying yet trying to understand without proof. well open your eyes for I sit before you
