IN SIN AND PRIDE

IN SIN AND PRIDE

They say the day the devil fell
Smoke rose to Heaven above
Left a blazing bright trail
As the darkness replaced love
The devil tripped his stride
Living for his sin and pride

I've been found on the mountain
Away from the quiet mumble
Drinking from the living fountain
Learning the lessons of being humble
But I forgot that I can't hide
When I live in my sin and pride

I've seen the smoke of war
Seen men die as rifles speak
Didn't know what we fought for
The path of bullets make us weak
The devil laughed as we killed and died
Paying the price of sin and pride

As the days move by, faster each day
We see giants fall and mountains crumble
When the righteous bow to pray
The prideful fall before the humble
Choose this day, time to decide
Salvation from your sin and pride

They say the day that Salvation came
The  veil in the Temple was torn
Old devil was defeated by Jesus name
As the lost were found, reborn
For we preach Christ crucified
To those lost in sin and pride
Amen
