Rapid Libations

Monolithic conflicts forced to permit.
Mental sickness.
Has to be stopped from where it sits.
With a nipping it at the bud.
To prevent the spreading of it.

Rapid libations.
Devoted without faith shakened.
Will crumble monolithic conflicts.
Down to find them found to bits.
In minds to exist.
Gone to go from where they grow.
Up.
To minimize away from unconscious,
And blinded minds.

What has happened to those rituals?
To believe them spiritual.
Protective and effective.

What has happened to faith prioritize.
Abandoned by many once known wise.
Now...
These days easily compromised.
By politics fictioned to delude,
A better life to live is to exclude the truth.
Mentally removed from reality.
And seduced to crave what the fools do!
Keeping them muted.
Keeping them hushed.
Keeping them rushing,
To feel that crushing sensation.
Under a bus.

Monolithic conflicts.
Endorsed to permit.
As if this hypnotic condition,
Provides and deliver its benefits.
Pursued.
Trusted.
And soothes,
Everybody out their minds.
Feeling fine.
Leaving faith and making libations,
Behind!

Not one war to seek for more,
Makes people creating them great!
Not one war to seek for more,
Leaves taxpayers celebrating...
The high cost it takes,
To put food on plates to fake the taste!
Yet kept are delicious promises,
One day to come.

Not for all.
But for some to have it done!

Truth, nothing but the hear and truth I feel in this poem. Thank you!

A striking social commentary on the state of affairs in the country and the world overall. Rampant materialism, less adherence to virtuous moral values and the acceptance of moral decay as virtuous. I particularly like your use of the word "libations" to describe our national tendency to apply "quick fixes" to persistent societal problems rather than taking the long view and working from the ground up to solve the problems. While I am personally not a fan of the style you used, I have to admit that, for purposes of your commentary, that style perfectly counterpoints your narrative.

    Well done.

Hi Nebula. I like ur name. Thank you for ur comments. I have been writing in several forms & different formats, mostly to do to place more emphasis on my chosen topic. Some get 'it'. Some 'don't'. That you 'did' amazes me. These days, many take their faith and religious belief with the same feeling as if shopping at a mall to catch a bargain. And then to thank God! Thanks again. Have a great day. Peace/Blessings, Lawrence
