ELEMENTAL

When I look in her eyes,
I see stars in the sky,
the colors of earth and beauty of life.
Is there such thing as love at first sight?
Is there such thing as two souls that bond
and take flight?
There just might,
For those chosen,
in that moment times frozen,
the reflection of flames turning flesh golden.
As shadows dance
the choice to take a chance unfolding.
Beholden is the choice made to journey
into the unknowing.
A path, a road, a river set to flowing.
You see,
Love is far from simple,
we are Elemental,
Life's a stage,
a movement,
a wind we bend to,
its like storms we weather, run or even limp threw.
Tho strength is gained threw durations of pain,
love is like expression and taught lessons on canvas
brush strokes in a frame.
The picture
is life and how we maintain,
forever in motion.......

About this poem

I simply wrote down the word "Elemental" while sitting in a prison cell in Walla Walla Washington. several hours later i wrote the poem in a form of freestyle, once over. after reading it i wrote this... Love in life is in constant motion with the changing of emotions. At times a struggle but threw that struggle comes a strengthen relationship, a bond that comes forth forming the beauty of existence. When an artist paints a picture you can see the movement and flow of the brush strokes, the emotion and concept taking form threw the motion. The Love The Pain The message a frozen form of living life..... This is "Elemental" « less
