"Remember"

CHILLS,
not from the cold but the pills,
from the highs to the lows and cheap thrills,
to the bone marrow that freezes as blood stills.
It's the soul it kills...
Addiction!
If you havent noticed
this is what i mention,
a mass loss of loved ones consumed by
industial invention.
pay attention,
for rich or poor its a high tallied death score.
from shore to shore, coast to coasts
cities filled with zombied youth who look like ghost,
The light of life is what it chokes leaving only darkness and loss of all hopes.
A metaphor for most is Lifes a flat tire with broken spokes.
This doesn't mean it's the end of the road but no time for jokes.
Fix it,
patch it up,
tighten the wire and stop walking the tight wire set on fire.
It's not time to expire step down from the funeral pyre.
stop being a liar,
stop being a thief,
stop disrespecting the deceased
we've lost from this disease.
Get off your knees!
STAND TALL!
in memory of those who death call,
for we, are who matter most of all.
REMEMBER.
Its the people places and things sobriety brings as lifes pendulum swings.
so fight the pain and sting as tears stream and step out the nightmare to fullfill your dreams.
