Silver Lining

Every cloud has a silver lining
Every devil a silver tongue
Which silver is better
Or worse
Lovers paint words gold
Hoping to seduce
Alchemize
Hypnotize
Drunk on your lies
I rationalize
Synthesize
Forming a solution
that is no longer me
but you and I mixed
Suspended in time
I must let you evaporate
to see the residue
Crystalize
Realize
I am, silver, shimmery
Without the devil’s lies

About this poem

Another prompt I used from www.oblique-strategies.com This one was to use cliché. I chose "Every cloud has a silver lining." Maybe this one has too much cliché and metaphor. Oh well, it's a gloomy day meant for muddled thoughts and not making any sense :)
