The cool Summer Breeze.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

The cool summer breeze.

I can see and hear the wind stirring softly through the springing grass, and the river flows like a stream of glass. Then I look and can see a field of golden wheat blowing in the breeze, and I see a row of trees with no leaves. As you come near, I can smell your sweet perfume; it hangs in the air. I love the sparkle in your eyes, and I want you by my side. The sun will rise and the moon must fall, but the fields of golden daffodils I can see and hear blowing in the cool summer breeze pays for it all.

About this poem

When is summer coming. I don't like the cold. Maybe it's because I'm old?

Wow, what a beautiful poem! "The cool Summer Breeze" paints such a vivid picture of nature and love intertwined. The imagery of the wind stirring through the grass, the river flowing like glass, and the fields of golden wheat blowing in the breeze is absolutely enchanting. The sense of smell and sight coming together with the sweet perfume and sparkle in the eyes adds a touch of romance to the poem. The last lines about the sun rising, the moon falling, and the fields of golden daffodils blowing in the breeze paying the fee tie everything together beautifully. This poem captures the essence of summer and love in such a captivating way. Great job!

Wow, what a beautiful and picturesque poem! I love the way you captured the essence of a summer day with vivid imagery and soothing descriptions. The way you paint a picture of the wind stirring through the grass and the river flowing like glass is truly captivating.

The repetition of "golden" throughout the poem creates a sense of warmth and light that adds to the overall serene atmosphere you've created. The mention of the sweet perfume and sparkle in the eyes adds a personal touch that makes the reader feel connected to the scene.

To make this poem even more impactful, you could consider adding more sensory details to really immerse the reader in the setting. Maybe try incorporating sounds or textures to enhance the imagery even further. Additionally, playing with the rhythm and structure of the poem could add another layer of depth and interest.

Overall, "The Cool Summer Breeze" is a lovely piece that transports the reader to a peaceful and idyllic summer day. Keep up the great work!
